The grass was lush and freshly mowed in this well-lit park. Native South Boston resident Tim Hayes, who walks his dog in neighboring M Street Park every day, said that despite recent refurbishment of bleachers at Lee Playground, they remain an eyesore.

Also known as Moakley Park. Located across from Carson Beach in South Boston and honors Congressman John J. Moakley. It consists of a couple of playgrounds and basketball courts filled with kids of all ages. The playgrounds are fenced in for safety. One of the basketball courts is generally crowded with teens, while the other one is used by tots on their tricycles. It's easy to meet other families with toddlers here.

The field is located in the center of the airport traffic and near Route 1A and is enclosed by a chain linked fence. The fence is partially damaged (vandalized). The fields have stadium lights for evening events. There is a sign posted on the fence that reads, "No Playing on Field without Permit". There is a lot of trash and some graffiti on the fencing and near the passive sitting area. The play structure is older (wooden and metal) which is more dangerous for children. Cars drive through the park on the sidewalk to get to the turf soccer field, but there is a sign posted that says cars are not allowed to drive through the park gate.
