MBTA
The MBTA, or more commonly referred to as simply the "T", has been shutteling Bostonians around this great city of ours since 1897. Boston was the first city in America (and the 3rd in the Western Hemisphere) to have a subway system with NYC quickly following suit.
The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority is a very extensive public transportation system bus, subway, ferry, and commuter train service.
Currently, the T has 5 major lines: For further and more in depth information of coverage and schedules, please refer to the MBTA web site.
